Aadam has always wanted to be an entrepreneur from a young age, helping out after school in the family fruit and vegetable retail business. On leaving school with his matric, Aadam took over a family owned banana retail business operating at the Epping Market after it had run into financial difficulties. By sheer hard work and perseverance, Aadam has revitalised the banana retail business, selling in excess of 50 pallets of the fruit every month. His vision is to penetrate the larger supermarket retailers particularly Pick N Pay, selling in bulk to these large mass market retailers. He also envisions creating an export business into neighbouring countries such as Namibia and Botswana. This is the value add he sees he will gain from joining Shanduka Black Umbrellas. |
