Samuel Maneli’s business specialises in providing top rate security to the film industry. Initially employed by leading security company, Maneli specialised in closed circuit television (CCTV) monitoring, eventually working in the Cape Town City's control centre as a manager of the CCTV element. After having undergone training and accreditation to instruct others in CCTV monitoring skills, Maneli was registered as an assessor for the Safety & Security Education Training Authority (SASSETA reg: 19A41590711), Tourism Hospitality and Education Training Authority (THETA reg: 613A/001531/2008) and MAPPP-SETA (reg: MAPPP-A0909-138) 20 Unit Standard & Qualifications). Sam recognized a niche in the film industry through his own experience working in the industry. He realised two things: Firstly that there was a need to protect valuable film industry equipment and work according to the hectic time schedules of the industry and secondly that he could create sustainable jobs through training for this niche industry. Ultimately Sam wants to grow his company to become the premium film security company throughout South Africa. |
