Success has many facets for me. I feel successful knowing that I have made a difference in the life of a candidate by matching them to their ideal job. Providing the opportunity of employment and the placing of unemployed or retrenched candidates who are completely despondent – that is success!. Also, in empowering young people and equipping them with essential advice on how to access the job market – I feel the success when meeting them months later and see their gratitude for the role my business has played in their futures.Then there is that as defined by my clientele, when we get positive feedback about our service and professionalism – that is success! Finally, with ongoing hard work, tenacity and dedication further success comes in the financial rewards we are able to reap.
- Being awarded my first three year contract.
- Being invited by the Black Management Forum (BMF) to address 2011 graduates. The theme of the address was “How to access the job market strategically in order to make it work to your advantage whilst being productive members of society that contribute to the economy”.
- Being nominated from 30 SMMEs as the recipient of ADREACH’s sponsored street pole advertising campaign – you can see my boards all over Johannesburg, thanks to ADREACH!
- Sourcing most of our business through word-of-mouth referrals – a direct indication of our high caliber of service.
- Taking the decision to join Shanduka Black Umbrellas to obtain office space, a bookkeeper, a fixed business physical and postal address which has granted Mashabela Personnel credibility within the market and renewed confidence to both our clients and candidates
- We have also looked at our sourcing and headhunting strategies, and have found social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, very useful in acquiring the top talent our clients demand.
- Keeping overheads at a minimal has been a great business strategy.
- To transform traditional recruitment methods by developing an online E-recruitment system which will enable clients to streamline the recruitment process by having easier access to top talent.
- Even though our long term goal is to have a national footprint, we intend to build an eminent Recruitment/HR company in the Gauteng region initially, which will ultimately provide us with a competitive edge as we expand into other provinces.
- To ultimately assist Government in sourcing, creating and providing employment opportunities for candidates, while providing our clients with our expertise in providing the best person for the job.
Dare to dream, as all big things start with a dream. Find your passion, excel at it and all will fall into place. Bear in mind, however, that it requires hard work. An empire is not built in a day, you will face challenges and sometimes feel despondent. Keep your head up and your eyes on the ball.
